Partner Manager – Sports

Talent Partners are currently recruiting on an exclusive basis, for the largest SaaS operator of sports-based loyalty and reward programmes and associated services in the UK and Ireland.

Our client’s is trusted by over 60+ sports clubs, racecourses and sports organisations and with over two million passionate sports fans saving over £55 million on tickets and merchandise, and they are growing at pace and are now looking to recruit a Partner Success Manager to join their business.

Working in a hybrid work environment, the Partner Success Manager will focus on working with our client’s exclusive sports betting partners to optimise the use of our loyalty and reward brands, currency and member communications to deliver their business objectives and results.

To be successful in this role, candidates will need to exhibit:

  1. Solid and credible Partner Success experience; using their partnership, partner success and marketing skills to deliver value and drive successful outcomes for partners.
  2. An excellent understanding and working knowledge of developing digital marketing campaigns that will drive members to engage with our betting partners to deliver value and results for these partners.
  3. Drive commercial growth for our client by building stronger relationships with their betting partners by a) identifying new commercial and marketing opportunities with these partners; b) working with the Head of CRM and Member Lifecycle to deliver high quality marketing campaigns so they can maximise revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

Client Facing:

  • Work closely with our client’s sports betting partners to understand their needs so you can build strong result-driven relationships and strategic plans to drive commercial results through great communication (both verbal and written).
  • Take ownership of the marketing relationships with the sports betting partners, working with them to advise and deliver against their requirements.
  • Create and deliver compelling betting content to enhance member engagement and participation in the programme, driving results for both the business and our partners.
  • Hold regular review meetings with partners to discuss upcoming campaigns, present and share KPI results, report on customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation as well as marketing activity successes and associated revenue generation for our client’s partners.
  • Work with the Partner Success Director to grow the commercial partnerships with our sports betting partners in a way that drives business success for them and secures partnership renewal.
  • Work with the Directors and the Partner Success Director on the sales process to acquire new betting partners when the opportunity arises.


  • Work closely with the Partner Success Director and other internal stakeholders in the onboarding of new sports betting partners.
  • Work with the Head of CRM and Member Lifecycle to create and deliver compelling member betting content to enhance the member experience which in turn delivers results for the business and the partners.
  • Work closely with the data team to analyse, predict, and understand how data can influence marketing activity and the member experience. Ensuring where possible that marketing activity is influenced and driven by data.
  • Be responsible for regularly tracking member participation levels and performance metrics, reviewing, and reporting on KPI’s for both internal reporting purposes and partner requirements.
  • Hold review meetings with other internal stakeholders to evaluate marketing activity performance and summarise any learnings.

Marketing Focus

  • Have a firm understanding of our client’s marketing strategy and plan for our sports betting partners, liaising with our Partner Success Director to translate strategy into impactful partnership road maps that will drive business success.
  • Deliver activity in line with the plan but with the ability to make recommendations on how we can enhance the strategy to drive better results.
  • Have an excellent understanding of affiliate-driven marketing and conversions within the betting industry and devise and oversee effective partner engagement and communication campaigns via email, social and other digital marketing channels.
  • Support engagement among the existing membership by working with the CRM team to enhance customer communication (marketing collateral, existing campaigns, cross / up sell) across email, social and other digital marketing channels.
  • Manage the website messaging and content in relation to our client’s sports betting partners and ensure all online communication content is always fresh and relevant.
  • Take ownership of projects, prioritise work, and liaise with relevant stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Have a good understanding of marketing technology and digital channels to ensure that you can support the Head of CRM and Member Lifecycle to deliver communication directly to our client’s members and deliver marketing and points collection assets to our partners.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 5 years+ experience in a marketing and partnerships role, ideally within the betting industry.
  • Excellent understanding of affiliate-driven marketing and conversions within the betting industry.
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent and mutually beneficial commercial results through successful Loyalty & Rewards Marketing activity.
  • Ability to execute and deliver campaigns, meet deadlines and KPI targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business and lead partnership discussions and strategic recommendations through solid understanding of the partners needs and the data available.
  • Have a creative flair with the ability to write strong result driven content but also passionate about using analytics and measurement to optimise conversions.
  • Comfortable in using marketing technology to deliver the best experience for our client’s partners and members.
  • Excellent presentation skills (both the creation as well as being confident in delivery).
