IT Director

Talent Partners is currently recruiting for an IT Director for an award-winning client company. As the Head of IT, you will lead and oversee the ongoing strategic direction, implementation, and management of the company’s information technology systems and infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in optimising operational efficiency, ensuring the security and reliability of our client’s IT ecosystem, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Strategic leadership: Developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business objectives, driving innovation and technological advancement to enhance competitiveness and operational excellence.
  2. Infrastructure Management: Managing and optimising the technical infrastructure.
  3. IT Change Management: Liaising with the wider organisation to define and lead the implementation of IT changes as agreed.
  4. Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including Managed Service Providers (MSP) and key development resources, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and fostering collaboration to deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.
  5. Leadership of IT team: Lead and develop key resources, growing capability as the business scales.
  6. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures and compliance standards to protect company data, systems, and networks from internal and external threats, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Grow a trusted, high-performing IT function, fostering a culture of security, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive IT impact on organisational success.
  8. Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and investments in line with strategic priorities and business needs.
  9. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT risks and vulnerabilities, proactively assessing potential impacts on business operations and implementing proactive measures to minimize disruptions and downtime.
  10. Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential to drive business value and competitive advantage, and oversee the implementation of new systems and solutions as appropriate.

Desired Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate most of the following:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the financial services or lending industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems integration. Experience with AWS, MS, BI and Zoho advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects and initiatives, from conception to implementation, within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL) would be an advantage.
