Talent Partners are currently looking to recruit a National Sales Director role for a growing client company within the Financial Services industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the Senior Management Team and play a key role in our client’s projected growth and development in the coming years.
Our client provides asset finance via Leasing and Hire Purchase for Ireland’s Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across several industry sectors that include Agriculture, Construction, Dental and Medical.
Operating nationwide, our client has ambitious growth plans which will be driven by enhanced servicing of their dealer network, focus on growing value for our customers with the business model supported by enhanced digital technology.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to identify and recruit a National Sales Director who will manage and lead our client’s sales team nationwide.
Reporting to the COO, the role will have a heavy focus on sales strategy, management, and results with the capability of developing a strategy and team to service our client’s existing and growing dealer network and growing their customer base.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Financial Target and Sales
- Ensure that sales targets are achieved, and profits are met on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for regions and sales personnel, projecting expected sales volume and profit for the organisation.
- Set up and propose a sales strategy regarding business growth supported by the senior management team of the organisation.
- Maintain sales volumes, services mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Staff Management
- Structure sales resources, both geographically and teams, as appropriate to maximise market impact at competitive cost.
- Maintain high level of motivation with sales team through excellence in communication and two-way feedback.
- Provide the national sales team with ongoing guidance and assistance.
- Manage teams progress through internal sales meetings to receive feedback on what the team is working with and suppliers they are dealing with
- Assist team with internal process of deal lifecycle – Credit process, contract drafting and signing, discounting of deals.
- Develop and implement appropriate KPI’s
- Ensure the continuous recruitment and on-boarding of talented sales professionals into the organisation.
Develop and Implement Strategy.
- Effectively manage all on-going stakeholder relationships
- Participating in policy making and decision-making activities of the group at management level.
- Manage the Sales Division within time and budget allowed
- Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans with our sales team and follow up with results,
- Maintain sales volumes, services mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Implement market research studies on relevant sectors and guide and support the overall marketing and sales strategy.
- Keep constant relationship with existing major suppliers and collect feedback for improvement and expansion of the company’s market offerings.
Internal Processes
- Ensuring that sales teams are submitting quality business & credit deals to credit and /or CC (pending and declined) – feedback from credit monthly on quality of deals by keeping an asset register
Candidate Profile.
- 10 years’ experience within banking/financial services, at a mid to senior management level.
- Previous ability in managing a high performing sales team is desired.
- In-depth knowledge of Asset Finance and the Financial landscape nationally.
- Exceptional Communication both written and spoken
- Effective team management skills, able to lead, coach and motivate the sales team, and take the responsibility of leading the team to achieve ambitious annual sales targets.
- Detail and Deadline oriented
- Ability to work without supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to act as change agent.
- Excellent commercial acumen and problem-solving skills required.
